2.11.3. Electrical extension cords shall
(1)  have a bonding conductor;
(2)  be designed for outdoor use;
(3)  be of the Hard Usage type for a circuit 300 V or less, or of the Extra-Hard Usage type for a circuit 600 V or less; and
(4)  have a capacity at least equal to the value of the circuit overcurrent device.

2.11.3. Extension cords: Electrical extension cords supplying energy to any equipment or tools shall:
(a)  be suspended at a minimum height of 2.4 m but sufficient to ensure a free passage; or
(b)  be protected on the floor in order to avoid any damage to these conductors and to reduce risks of tripping; and
(c)  be provided with a third conductor for grounding with the exception of extensions used exclusively for lighting purposes.
